About the event
The Elgin Pride Cool Cats softball team plays in the Elgin Parks and Recreation Tuesday Co-ed league. Our team is made up of folks from the Elgin Pride Community and allies. We play other teams representing restaurants, taverns and businesses in Elgin and surrounding areas.
Coached by R Edward "Bish" Bishop and managed by Freda Hogan, our team is a safe space for queer people and allies to express themselves and participate in team sports.
Everyone is welcome to watch our fun, family-friendly games for free. Bring some snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, a blanket, and bleacher chair and cheer for Elgin's diversity like a Cool Cat! Noise makers, cowbells, and other shenanigans are encouraged.
We are not the best team, but we have the best cheerleaders and the best music in the league.
